MTV World Stage returns to Malaysia for the third time!

This year, MTV World Stage Live In Malaysia 2011 will be held at a new venue, i-City in Shah Alam, on 24 July 2011. The outdoor concert will feature live performances from popular international, regional and local recording artists. The final lineup is: Thirty Seconds To Mars, Neon Trees, BEAST and Pop Shuvit.

MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2011 will be staged in front of a live audience of about 15,000 fans. The 2-hour on-air version of MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2011 will premiere on MTV SEA channel on 8 August at 10pm (Indonesia), 11pm (Singapore, Hong Kong and the Philippines) and 12am (Malaysia). An hour-long version of MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2011 will also be broadcast globally in 154 countries reaching over 550 million households later in the year.

GETTING THERE

If you drive, i-City is about 30 minutes away from Kuala Lumpur city center on a good traffic day and is accessible via a vast network of expressways (Federal Highway and NKVE). Here's how to drive to i-City:

DRIVING & PARKING INSTRUCTIONS FROM KL VIA FEDERAL HIGHWAY
1) From KL, drive on to the Federal Highway
2) Enter Persiaran Permai Road
3) Turn Left into Persiaran Bestari Road
4) Enter either into Lorong Keluli 1a or Lorong Keluli  1b
5) Enter into Lorong Keluli 1c
6) Look for Carpark B signage & park at i-City Carpark B

SURVIVAL GUIDE

1. PARKINGParking space is limited and will be available only on a first-come-first-served basis only.

2. The Weather:
MTV World Stage Live In Malaysia 2011 is a rain-or-shine event. Bring a raincoat or a cap, sun block lotion and sunglasses if needed.

3. Travel Light:
There will be security checks at the door for prohibited items including but not limited to recording devices, dangerous objects, and controlled substances. No bags are allowed in the venue.

4. Be Early:
We're expecting 15, 000 people so if you want the best view possible, come early as registration starts at 3:30pm and door opens at 6:30pm. Also note that pass holder who is 15 years old or below is to be accompanied by an adult (aged 21 years old or above) who must also have a pass to the event.

5. Dress Code:
MTV World Stage Live In Malaysia 2011 is a free standing event. Dress comfortably with safety in mind. Wear comfortable clothes with ample ventilation and non-slip, covered shoes. Bring earplugs if you wish to protect your ears.

6. Safety First:
Cameras, video recorders and all other recording devices, helmets, long umbrellas and other sharp, flammable and dangerous objects and controlled substances are strictly prohibited. MTV also reserves the right to refuse admission to any person whose conduct is disorderly or unbecoming or who is in violation of the foregoing restrictions. Photography and any recording of the Event are also strictly prohibited.

7. Food & Water:
Alcoholic drinks, and outside food and drinks are not allowed in the venue, so have a hearty meal before you head to the event. Drink lots and lots of water!

8. EPILEPSY WARNING
Please note that this concert uses strobe lighting. Anyone suffering from Epilepsy should note that strobe lighting has been linked to Epileptic seizures.
