•“The Album is us saying ‘Fuck! Where do we go from here?!”
•“In a couple of tracks like ‘Supremacy’ and ‘Survival’, we’ve gone to absurd levels.” - Matt
•The inspiration for ‘Unsustainable’ came from a Skrillex concert they attended.
•‘Supremacy’ starts up with spiralling swamp blues and builds to a climax of Orchestral hysteria as Matt orates a terrifying scene of mankind losing it’s Supremacy over the earth as “The seas have risen up” and energy shortages causes global desperation.
•‘Panic Station’ reflects the demented 80’s elements such as the backwards ‘Let’s Dance’ drumbeats and riffs reminiscent of INXS’ ‘Suicide Blonde’. Matt doing is most groin-thrusting Prince sex grasps.
•And come to the flamenco-flecked ‘Animals’ the economies are commencing under the weight of stock market savagery, of industries desperate to “Advertise, franchise.. kill the competition..” and of the greed of bankers who Matt claims should “Kill yourself, come on and do us all a favor”.
•Matt’s concern about industrial greed and business monopolies bleeds over into ‘Explorers’, and elegant choral pop vision of dying crops and absurd nature. It’s a song drenched in the sense of not feeling you belong on your own planet.
•“The Olympics should have people fighting off tigers with spiked metal balls.” - Dom Howard
•By the stadium stomp of ‘Big Freeze’ the world is in meltdown.
•‘The Second Law: Isolated System’ and ‘The Second Law: Unsustainable’ are doom-drenched operas full of newsreel reporters from the end of civilization, rapping terminators, trumpets inflating like lifeboats and Exorcist piano pulses tinkling goodbye to the world.
•‘Follow me’ is Matt’s first ode into fatherhood.
•“The beginning of Follow me has my baby’s heartbeat in it” - Matt
•‘Madness’ is the next single and is an electronic cross-over between ‘I want to break free’ and ‘Faith’.
•‘Save me’ and ‘Liquid State’ were written and sang by Chris.
